Comment:
When writing for non-experts, follow these rules of Plain English:
- Keep it short and simple (KISS)
- Cut what you can
- Prefer the active voice
- Personalize when you can
- Use verbs instead of nouns
Here's a breakdown of the three sentences according to these rules:
A. The fact that a company is mentioned [PASSIVE NOT ACTIVE] on our Website constitutes [UNNECESSARILY SOPHISTICATED WORD] neither a recommendation [NOUN INSTEAD OF VERB] of the company [UNNECESSARY REPETITION] nor [COMPLEX SYNTAX] a guarantee [NOUN INSTEAD OF VERB] of the quality of that company's [UNNECESSARY REPETITION] products.
B. The mention [CLEARER THAN NO. 1] of a company on our Website is [SIMPLER THAN NO.1] neither a recommendation of that company nor a guarantee of the quality of its [CUTTING REPETITION] products.
C. The fact we mention [PERSONALISE; USE VERBS] a company on our Website does not mean [KEEP IT SIMPLE] that we recommend [USE VERBS] it [CUT REPETITION] or guarantee [USE VERBS] the quality of its [CUT REPETITION] products.
